An incense burner unlike any other! The rich earth-tone glazes of theSE ceramic burners enhance the inscribed floral patterns that feature pearl-bead petals. Perfect for Indian or Japanese-style incense, this 5" square burner/ash catcher will look beautiful anywhere in your home.
Three of the four corners of the square are folded up and the fourth corner is folded downward with the incense-hole angled so that the ash is collected in the square.
These and other fine pieces from Ceramics by Maha are offered exclusively by Incense Warehouse. Each piece is signed by the artist!

Fine Ceramic Square Incense Burner/Ash Catcher with Pearl Beads
About the Artist
Ceramics By Maha
Maha Al-Musa Jolly has been a working artist, using clay as her primary medium of expression for over 25 years. Her unique designs often combine her numerous other artistic mediums in creating her distinctive fine ceramic pieces. These mediums may include the use of seed beads, fine crystals, fine artistic painting and Arabic calligraphy.
Born in Baghdad, Iraq, Maha studied Fine Arts at the Fine Arts University of Perth, Scotland. Later, receiving her Fine Arts Degree in 1987 at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad, Iraq, she graduated first in her class with honors.
She was bestowed the distinguished honor of being the only student invited to exhibit at the prestigious Fine Arts Union Exhibition, in Baghdad in 1987. This is an exceptionally rare tribute that had never previously been presented to any pre-graduate student.
Maha's uses gently flowing colors and delicate Arabic calligraphy in much of her work. These special embellishments are distinctively hand drawn, painted or carved into her ceramic pieces, making each piece uniquely extraordinary.
Special techniques are applied in the creation of these fine ceramic pieces. Unlike many of today’s ceramic artists, Maha creates her own colors, often grinding her own organic pigments and applying ancient techniques to obtain the desired finishes and textures.
Each piece in Maha’s collections is hand signed and is truly, one of a kind. No two pieces are exactly identical.
Maha came to the United State in 1988 to pursue her career in Fine Arts and continues to explore new techniques and designs in many fine artistic mediums.
